ARTIST STATEMENT: Cynthia Cannizzaro, NOLA

"Color is the breath of life. If our world was devoid of color, we would lack inspiration."

Cynthia Cannazzaro is an American painter and interior designer who uses acrylics and collages on canvas as her mediums and fabrics as her inspiration. She paints in bold colors in contemporary, impressionist and post-impressionist styles. Each of her subjects, whether elegant ballerinas, beautiful ladies, ephemeral angels or abstract colors, tell a story through emotion and metaphor. 

Cynthia showed her artistic talent from a young age, was encouraged by her teachers and studied Art and Interior Design at  Louisiana State University. She credits her Italian heritage and her native New Orleans culture for her success. Cynthia is recognized nationally and has exhibited in solo and group shows.
